Welcome

Hello and Welcome to my newsletter.
Firstly, thank you for subscribing – it is very much appreciated. In return for your interest I will do my best to make this newsletter enjoyable and hope that you will be engaged by what you read. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.

Secondly, I’d like to introduce you to the projects, activities, organisations and collaborators that you will be meeting as the weeks go by. There are a number of ways that you may have been introduced to me so I’ll just take a moment to explain the different things that I do and show you how this newsletter will be organised. My activities fall under three main headings: Singing, Healing and Workshop Leading although each of these spills into and informs the others. Although they seem diverse I find that all my work has the same goal which is to bring Transformation Through Creativity in everything I do and to all those I meet.

Because all these different interests can seem confusing, I will use images to organise the events on this page so you can easily focus on the things that interest you.

You will see this picture when I am writing about my solo singing career – work for opera and theatre companies, concerts and performance projects. This is me as Adolfo Pirelli in Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna in 2009. www.darrenabrahams.com

This is news about my voice/piano concert partnership with pianist Lindy Tennent-Brown.
“Darren and Lindy work together to bring down the barriers that exist in traditional recitals – between musical styles, between art forms and between the performers and the audience. Whether responding to art works in a gallery, to a place or to an event, they draw upon their extensive knowledge of song repertoire to excite the senses and create a concert experience quite unlike any you have heard before.” www.darrenabrahams.com/duo

Circular Sounds is a transformational project devised with mandala artist Joellen Lily and asks the question – “is there another way to look at this?”. A unique experiential process it is based on six creative elements; Guided Imagery, Storytelling, Games, Mandala, Music and Movement and is effective in many different situations – therapeutic, corporate, educational, transpersonal – and for people of all ages. A catalyst for personal creativity, Circular Sounds opens the door to a realization of your own unique contribution and place in the whole, leading to a broader perception of yourself and  a new freedom in your thinking. www.circularsounds.org

The Edward Starr Charitable Trust is a family run charity of which I am a founder member and Trustee. Our mission statement is “Helping Children Smile” and we do this by providing project based funding to improve the lives of children in the UK and around the world. CHOCS (Children Helping Other Children Smile) is our way of involving children in fundraising and community projects. www.starrtrust.com

I look forward to sharing my news and activities with you and welcome your presence in my life.

“Walk in Beauty”
